In 2015, SFMOMA brought me on to continue development of Open Space, their now-sunsetted but much-loved art and culture blog. The platform served as a space for artists, writers, and curators to publish experimental and deeply personal work outside traditional institutional formats.
I focused on extending the WordPress-based infrastructure, implementing new features, and streamlining the editorial workflow to support a growing body of multimedia content. Working closely with the editorial team, I ensured the site could evolve with their creative vision while maintaining technical stability and performance.
Though Open Space was eventually discontinued, the work done during that time helped sustain its mission and accessibility for years beyond its original scope. The archive remains online as a testament to the project’s impact: openspace.sfmoma.org
